Gunner Yuna Guns Tutorial
So ya this is what we are trying to make
[link]
Materials:
about 2 or 3 sheets of Foamboard
Model magic
Boxcutter
1 sheet Craft foam
Sandpaper
Primer
Silver spraypaint
Gold and black acrylic paint
Clear gloss or sealer
1. You will need to make a schematic for the guns. (I found them to be approximatly 11" long ) *note you will need a good side view of the gun)
Once you deciede on a length either print a picture of the gun to a desired length.
or print a small picture and use a projector to blow up the image and trace it.
2. choose where you want the layers of the gun to be
For this one i choose to have 5 layers of foamboard for the main body of the gun. The fisrt layer was the entire gun, the 2nd and 3rd (one on either side) werethe whole gun less the pinwheel thing on the back. Finally the 4th and 5th layers i took the third and cut off another knotch near the pinwheel, the point at the top of the gun, the whole closer to the top of the gun, the hole just below the barrel of the gun and the trigger.
here is a reference picture of all the layers

3. glue the layers together. *beware some glues will melt foamboard so I would suggest using gorilla glue or you can also use liquid nails*
4. once dry lightly sand the edges and then apply modelmagic to the edges to round them out and make them look neater. *note it doesn't have to be perfect you will sand it later*
let it dry it will dry fully in a couple of days from what i have found.
5. while that is drying begin to cutout the detail piecesout of craft foam. this would be the gold part of the gun, the black handle piece, and the pinwheel.

6. sand the model magic til smooth and even w/ the edges.
7. now glue on the craft foam pieces either with your gorilla glue or for this part i used regular white school glue
8. now your done with the construction so now you need to prime the gun before you spraypaint it bc the spraypaint will eat the foamboard.
9. spraypaint
10. add gold and black paint
11. paint on the gloss

The End your done lol
Some more notes
* draw out the pieces from largest to smallest and cut the pieces as you go so that way you can cut apart you schematic without fear of messing up a piece when you cut it .
* you can never have too much primer so do multiple coats
* always test your glue to make sure it doesn't eat the foam
but ya i hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to pm me and ask
